DAVID CHANG IMMORTALIZES HIS DOG
First of all - west coasters rejoice! David Chang has opened a Momofuku in Las Vegas! I know, it's not exactly the west coast, but it's close enough, and don't we all kinda love to hate Vegas? I actually crashed my husband's boys trip in January just so that I could eat there, and it did not disappoint. Truth be told I've always had a little bit of an entrepreneur crush on David Chang, the way he's managed to create this cult of excitement surrounding his restaurants extending even (and maybe more so) to the people who work for him is pretty inspiring. He's also an undeniably cool person - I haven't met him, but it's something I've always suspected and my suspicion was confirmed when I ate at Momofuku and saw this incredible mural by artist David Choe:
Looks super cool right? David Choe is an extremely accomplished artist and we salute him. But look closer at these shots I snapped when I was there:
WHOSE DOGS?! I immediately thought, nearly jumping out of my chair to take pictures. It wasn't but a few days later that Chang solved part of the mystery via his Instagram where he posted a shot of the mural and confirmed that the brown pup is his own dog Seve. OH and Seve has his own Instagram - and it's the best.
I know it doesn't quite solve the mystery of the black dog. We may never know, but one thing we do know is that David Chang is an awesome dog lover.
